Our beginners enter an Apprenticeship Mechanic pathway that includes in-house training, along with external instructive training on Kenworth and DAF products. More experienced team members receive individual, ongoing professional development.
We’re never bored. We work on a vast variety of mechanical and electrical heavy on-highway trucks, in all kinds of locations. That might be in the workshop, or in the ranges.
Our busy workshop is equipped with the latest diagnostic equipment and cutting-edge technology. We are super proud to have been awarded 2021 Dealer of the Year.

Warranty Claims Administrator and Assistant Service Advisor
Eastern Truck, locally owned and operated, has over 35 years of experience providing quality service to the Hawke’s Bay Heavy Transport Industry. Our team carries out a full range of heavy vehicle repairs, maintenance and servicing and hold the Kenworth, DAF and Cummins franchises. We service and repair other brands and trailers as well. We are now looking for a Warranty Claims Administrator and Assistant Service Advisor.
- Do you have excellent organization and Administration skills?
- Do you have a high degree of accuracy?
- Do you have mechanical experience in the vehicle industry? Ideally previous experience in vehicle warranty claims.
This is a full time position which works with our Workshop team to follow the warranty process and make sure that correct documentation is supplied in the specified timeframes, along with assisting with customer service.

About you
You will have proven administrative & customer service experience and enjoy working in a dynamic environment with a team that is passionate about what they do. You will: –
- Have excellent communication and listening skills
- Be confident and composed, being able to give direction and advice in an informative and positive manner
- Enjoy problem solving, be proactive and continually looking for process improvement
- Be a team player, who is organised, flexible and uses your initiative
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office Windows Software
- Preferably have experience in transport servicing, parts or logistics

Currently offering a full time role of 40 hours per week however we are flexible and keen to recruit the right person for our team – so there is an opportunity here for you to work the hours that suit you best. This role is based at our 95 Austin Street, Onekawa, Napier site.

We have full-time positions for qualified Diesel Mechanics to join our busy heavy commercial vehicle repair workshop based in Napier.
This is an opportunity to join a long-established Hawke’s Bay owned company that prides itself on its highly trained and motivated staff and its commitment to customer service.
We are fortunate to hold some of the world’s leading road transport parts and service franchises including the brands of Kenworth and DAF along with Cummins Engines.
The successful applicant will be working in a supportive team environment and become part of a group who are committed to excellence in customer service. Full ongoing factory training will be available to keep up with today’s advanced technology.
