Something a bit different this year for our Staff Xmas Do. On Saturday 2 December a bus load of our staff (and partners) went to Mountain Valley Adventure Lodge. On the trip north on SH5 the bus started overheating at the top of the Titiokura, but with a bus full of mechanics on board a few ideas of how to fix the problem were put forward e.g. put a sticker over the red gauge, pulling the fuse on the warning light. When the bus cooled down we continued on our way. The team enjoyed an afternoon of Paintball, Archery, Clay bird shooting and Horse Trekking. Paintball provided the opportunity to get pay back on our Workshop Service Manager, Paul, who incurred a few bruises, including several own goals too we suspect!! After an afternoon of fun we sat down and had dinner at the Lodge, gave out a few prizes to the staff for noteable (and not so noteable acheivements), followed by an after dinner trivia quiz organised by the team at Mountain Valley Lodge. Everyone had a fantastic day and seemed to be worn out by the end of the night because it was a very quiet trip home. Thanks to the team at Mountain Valley Adventure Lodge for their hospitality.
